We’ve been contacted by Augment Bionics in Edinburgh who are aiming to create smart, affordable, 3D printed bionic prosthetics.
“Since forming last year, we have been working hard to develop a prototype suitable for user feedback, as we would like this to be at the heart of our design process. Currently, I am trying to recruit upper-limb amputees (specifically ones with below the elbow amputations) to 3D scan their residual limbs and create custom sockets for each user. We are trying to find individuals who could advise us on developing our prototypes further by participating in product trial sessions and conversations with our team”
