Issue 3 June 2015

Greetings foot soldiers!  Just a wee update to tell what we’ve been doing, what we’re planning and who we’re helping with your donations. It feels so positive to think you’ve improved the difficult lives of some people who’s legs have been swept from under them, usually through no fault of their own.

Talking of legs……..check out the new, frighteningly real looking pins! They even have wee wrinkles at the ankles and pinky tones at the sole.  Very clever Dorset Orthopedics made them for me and they’re sponsoring an award at our Crowne Plaza night in September.

They arrived just as I reached my 2 year anniversary of taking ill which was quite emotional and thought provoking. To everyone who helped me through my shocking time, it is a chance to say ‘thank you’ again and never to forget what we all went through and how lucky we are to have survived it.

Consider only briefly though, as I want to look forward through the windscreen and not backwards through the rear view mirror, as my brother would say. Let’s just be grateful and be the best that we can be.

Thanks for supporting me and FYF.
