Day 2 & 3…
-Climbed around 400m out of Namche Bazaar to the Everest View Hotel to see the highest point on earth… childhood dream fulfilled! ✅
-Highlight of the day, a questionable Mars Bar. ?
-Left the hotel and immediately greeted by a steep incline. No warm-up and perspiring constantly due to the sudden challenge of the slope and heat.
-Leg had to come off to dry 5 times due to sweat… This was better than day 1 due to a strap round the prosthetic helping keep the leg from falling off.
-Spirits were high amongst the group – despite the extreme challenge, Lee was smiling the whole way! ?
-Lower oxygen levels beginning to become more noticeable.
Lee says that although he’s been taking in the beautiful views and local wildlife, he has his eyes on the prize for everyone at FYF and all of you wonderful supporters! He’s watching all the messages coming in and it’s giving him the motivation to keep pushing on! ?
