The FYF Pet Photo Competition

UPDATE: Dod has taken fur-st place! Ā Well done to you and Heather for bringing in the most votes – weā€™ll be in touch with you about your fantastic bespoke painting from local artist Alex Wright.

“My name is Dod, but you can call me Doddie, or handsome. I’m 12 this year, blind in one eye and 15 teeth removed but it doesn’t hinder me! When grand,a takes me to the garden centre, I sit in the baby seat!”

Well done also to 2nd place Jumble & Lisa, and 3rd place Phyllis & Greg!

Thank you to everyone who took part, shared and voted in our Pet Photo Competition – youā€™ve all helped raise Ā£2,006 to support amputees across Scotland.

Paws-itively beautiful entries…

Our cutest pet competition was running throughout February, but voting is now closed. You can still enjoy all the cute entries below.

VOTING NOW CLOSED

Has your pet got what it takes to steal the show?

We’re running a Pet Photo Competition! Who doesn’t love sharing pics of their wee loved ones to show off their cute and funny antics? Dogs, cats, hamsters, parrots, bunnies, we don’t discriminate – we want to see them all!

How does it work?

1. Send your favourite photo of your pet/pets to our fundraising co-ordinator Eilish: eilish@findingyourfeet.net
2. When sending, please let us know your petā€™s name and a bit about them – this can be their breed, their age, how you got them or just a funny story.Ā
3. The vote is now live and will run until the 28th February. Here’s the twist – to vote people must donate towards our charity – supporting amputees across Scotland. You can vote on our Beacon form further down this page.Ā
4. Every Ā£1 counts as a vote, so if someone donates Ā£1 that would be 1 vote or if they donate Ā£20 thatā€™s 20 votes for your little buddy. You are also allowed to vote for your own entry.Ā
5. We’ll send over a link to share with your family and friends to pop on social media with your photo to get in as many votes as possible.

What’s in it for you?Ā

Apart from the feel-good factor of helping support amputees, the winner will receive a fantastic bespoke painting of their pet from local artist Alex Wright who specialises in capturing animals. Here are some of his cracking pieces below.

Who will it help?Ā

All donations raised will be going towards supporting amputees and those with limb absence in Scotland through a range of sporting initiatives and social inclusion projects designed to positively affect both physical and mental well-being. If you’d like to find out more about our services and the support we offer amputees – you can have a wee browse here.
