The Finding Your Feet Well-Being Team took 23 amputees and their families on our annual fully accessible adventure weekend to Calvert Trust, Lake District.Â
We were joined by our friends at the Amputation Foundation for a few days of challenges, team-building, confidence-boosting and a lot of laughs.
A few first time experiences and milestones were made over the weekend which we love to see! Our Troopers got to try being out on a catamaran, scaling the indoor climbing area via rocks and ropes as well as getting out and about for a hill climb and a lake walk.Â
These activities kept them going during the day, but they were just as busy in the evenings with quizzes, bingo and karaoke. Some of them got to learn how to swim for the first time since becoming an amputee – including team member Gordon.
