They had, they thought, spoken their last words to her. She survived, although her hands and feet were so starved of oxygen that doctors had to amputate. We could be sitting here mourning… In fact, that was the most likely scenario. Instead, we’re supporting people like Cor and their families. People who have heard the same words she did. “You’re going to lose your leg.” or “We have to amputate your arm.” This support is only possible because when Cor woke up, she decided to help make a difference for amputees. Today of all days, if you’re fortunate enough to have money to spare, a donation would be lovely. Here’s to 9 years.
