Lob proves there’s no limb-its for Tommy McKay…
A MASSIVE congratulations to amputee footballer and FYF Trooper, Tommy McKay, who won SPFL goal of the month for November. The goal, which was scored during a half-time challenge at Tannadice last month, beat professional placers including Aberdeen’s Jayden Stockley and Celtic’s Tom Rogic.
Footage of the winning goal has been viewed more than two million times on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter, and Dundee Manager Ray McKinnon awarded Tommy a commemorative trophy as well as a season ticket for 2017-18.
Speaking of his fantastic achievement, Tommy said: “To have been chosen as the Ladbrokes SPFL goal of the month for November is completely overwhelming and is truly beyond my wildest dreams, especially when all the goals this month were worthy winners. You will never know how much this means to me and my family and I am eternally grateful.”
