Hello from the FYF team and welcome to our October Fundraiser Update! A lovely lot have pulled out all the tricks to treat our charity… Read on to see how they’re helping this month.

The Prison Officers Association Scotland chose our charity for their annual conference with STV’s Colin MacKay attending their morning debate. Colin very generously donated his fee to our charity! Altogether they raised a whopping £4,380 for us! Thank you to everyone involved! ❤️
Shoutout to everyone at Balgay Bowling Club who raised £400 from their Presidents Chosen Charity Bottle! This isn’t the first time the club have fundraised for us and we’re so grateful for the continued support – Thank you!
What a surprise this was! Marion, an amputee from Tiree, has been a member of our online community for a while and raising money in the library where she works. She was in the area and popped in to say hello – we ended up chatting for an hour! Very proud that our work is reaching every corner of Scotland. Her donation tin had a total of £53.46 – Thanks Marion! ?
Trooper Willie McCarry and his brother Jim took part in Sober October (which we know is no easy feat for us Scots!). Together they raised an amazing £1,585 for us – a massive thank you to both of them for taking on the challenge and supporting our cause! William regularly comes to our Ampu-Teas sessions and joins in all the chat!
The nurses and physios from Ayr Hospital held a fundraising night for us raising an incredible £1,200 and we can’t thank them enough! They are so welcoming when we visit to meet amputees in the early stages of rehabilitation – to have them fundraise for us is just lovely!
A huge thank you to Jo who kindly raised £260 in memory of her Dad. “Dad has left a legacy of courage, strength and determination behind. We will work so very hard to continue with that legacy.” We appreciate you thinking of us at such a difficult time.
Last but not least, we’ve had a couple of lovely people that have kindly fundraised for us for their birthday! Thank you to Chloe Calderwood who raised £248 and thank you to Lindsey Shabazian from American who raised $225. Love to see our awareness spreading round the world!
We’re humbled by the amount of fundraisers we have every month and thank you all for allowing us to continue our vital support! If you’d like to get involved and help our wee charity, please join our Volunteering and Fundraising Facebook pages to see what’s going on!
