We’re devastated to tell you of the passing of Linda McLean, known to us all as Wee Linda. Back at the start of our charity when we only had four people in the group, she was one of them. Over the years she became as important as any team member or volunteer. A part of FYF’s furniture with the cheekiest smile and all the time in the world to listen to what you had to say. She would never ask for anything in return, even refusing coffee in favour of her bottle of Coke Zero always tucked away in the cup holder of her chair. Although Linda battled various medical conditions over the years, you can guarantee that she’d get through it all with a smile. That’s true strength. Simply put, she was a joy to be around. Our thoughts are with her family and close friends, who we’re sure will use the example of resilience she set in the coming days and weeks. Here’s to Wee Linda with the big heart – the most positive person we knew, even on the bad days.
