Finding Your Feet has been supporting the amputee community for ten years.

118 months. 521 weeks. 3650 days. 87,600 hours. However you look at it, we’ve been doing what we do for a decade. That’s a real achievement for a small charity that started from one woman’s desire to help and be helped.

FYF Celebrates 10 years

Cor Hutton had all four limbs amputated in 2013 after nearly dying from sepsis, and six months later decided to create a support group. What started as four or five people meeting for coffees has, well, grown arms and legs.

As of writing, we help over a thousand amputees throughout the country, whether that be through weekly catch-ups, fitness classes, counselling or online support groups.

There have been ups and downs, and the last few years have been particularly hard to raise funds. Each and every time, though, you all pull us through and keep the service alive – and good thing too, because many amputees have told us that they wouldn’t be here today without Finding Your Feet.

So here’s to ten years of raising awareness, making friends, hospital visits, providing opportunities like sailing the seas or climbing mountains, and, above all else, being there for those who need it most.

To keep us going for the next decade, we hope you can send a tenner to celebrate ten years – but of course more would be fantastic. Fill in the form below if you can. Thank you for the journey so far.
