Cold Water Therapy Challenge October 2025

January 10, 2025

Brave the cold Scottish waters and develop a stronger mindset – Sunday 26th October

In partnership with Shirley Scott of Watermind Scotland, we’re once again taking on a thrilling Cold Water Therapy Challenge. At our last event, Trooper Lisa, who hadn’t taken her prosthetic leg off in public in the 30 years since becoming an amputee, bravely took on the challenge and felt invigorated afterwards. We’d love for you to take on this challenge and share a slice of what Lisa felt by taking it on.

Watermind Scotland’s events allow you to relieve stress, connect with your inner peace, develop self-love and live life to the fullest with newfound confidence. You can feel even better knowing that you’ll be helping support amputees across Scotland!

What will the day look like?

You’ll meet the group for a 2 hour wellness session which includes a motivational warm up with yoga to get the mind and body in the zone. This is followed by breathing exercises to get the blood flowing and then some uplifting chants of self-affirmation. Finally a little dancing to warm up and raise morale and excitement before taking the plunge!

You’ll take the cold water on for 7-10 mins with encouragement and guidance from Shirley. Once you come out, the fire will be on and you can relish in your achievement with hot drinks, toasted marshmallows and croissants which are provided.

Finally there will be a certificate ceremony so you can prove how awesome you are for taking on a challenge many wouldn’t even dare to try!
